Default 2018 or 2019 CR-V?

Looking to purchase a new CR-V (EX AWD) (our 2012 is great but time to hand it down to college son). My dealer has several 2018 in the trim and color I want, but now that we're into January 2019, would I be better off going for the new 2019 model or hoping to get a great deal on the remaining 2018? A little concerned about the gas getting into the oil problem I've heard about with the 2018's. Anyone experience this problem? Thoughts appreciated - Thanks!

Hi,
I just posted a similar question. The 2017 and 2018 models definitely have this issue from the articles I read, but were supposed to be "fixed" with a software update.
How does a software update fix a mechanical issue?? beats me...
My question is, has anything been done to address the issue in the 2019 model?
Would be great if someone has more insight on this.
Thx.
