Default 2004 crv..Dreaded Knock sensor code

Need some help. Got P0325 knock sensor code. Cant get rid of it.

Did motor mounts a few months back. All fine. My passenger side CV axle is going to need replacing. Got the code a few weeks ago. Reset it and it did not come back for a couple of days. Replaced the sensor with Honda original part. Now the code comes on immediately when I start down the road. Cant have any codes to pass inspection here in New York. Is there anything else that I can try? Can the CV be causing a vibration that knock sensor picks up? New spark plugs? Wire and connection looked fine when I put new sensor in.Engine runs fine and gas mileage has not changed. Dont want to keep throwing parts at it.

Did the knock sensor get torqued to the specified torque? It's a very sensitive to being installed correctly.

The other piece of the puzzle is that single wire plug is very easy to damage. With the check engine light coming back on immediately I suspect damage to the wire.

Update...

Had some time this weekend to play with it. Deleted code with readerand went for ride. CEL comes back on when under load at about 40 miles a hour. I can delete code and if I stay under 40 it does not come on. Tried this a few times and was consistent. It is a new new Honda OEM knock sensor. Harness connection seems good since it is not coming on immediately. Any ideas on what is next to try?

Sustained engine speed between 3000 and 4000 rpm for at least 10 seconds is the test condition for the knock sensor. 40 mph probably gets you into that testing window.

I second the possibility that the single light-gauge wire may have a break. After swapping the engine in my 04 this past weekend, the wire was broken right at the plug, and practically fell off as I removed the harness. Spliced a new one in place with a bit of extra wire, and no issues.
