Your idea of wheels is not my cup of tea.

You will run into fitment issues and decreased wheel bearing and stud life.

Im going to raise it as well, hoping that will kill any rubbing... As far as like back spacing, i should be fine since back spacing on stock crv wheels is like 5" or somewhere around that.... The back space on the rims I'll be getting are like 3 1/2 to 4 inches. I honestly dont know how much they will poke out but im ok with it so long as its nothing extreme.... i love the way any rims look when they have a deep lip...ive seen some with like 15x8 +13 and they have a bit of lip but i need more..itll be more for looks than actual offroading or racing.

They'll poke out way too much.

Look through this thread, some specs on the wheels are posted. Most people run 15x8 with a lower offset and it's already sticking out quite a bit.

But again, this is just my opinion.

IMO, this guy's CR-V was the best. Even with his wheel setup, and ride height, he had to trim his front bumper and remove his sideskirts. IIRC he was running a 15x8 wheel, 30" or 31" tire, lifted a total of 3" using a combination of OME springs and strut spacers. It rubbed when turning.

Yeah it does looks nice, trust me ive been through this whole thread.lol it was painful. And yeah i kind of figured it would be hard to get some 15x10s on there, was just hoping someone had done it before....i will post pics soon once i get these wheel in...have a bit of thinking to do...but i might go ahead and play it safe and get the 15x8s... Specially since at the moment i dont have a place where i could do mods on it if i had to. Preciate the time and help mr. Caoboy. Ur a good man!!

Look at JP Patches' V.

He's already 15x8 -19. You're wanting to add an inch to the outside and inside of that wheel (x10 vs x8) and then you're adding an inch of offset (-43 vs -19=24mm ((24.5mm=1") which is going to push out your wheel an inch more. You're adding 2 inches of width to JP patches wheels, and that's just on the outside. The inside, you'd be adding an inch of width, but you're spacing that inch farther out, essentially whatever clearance he has you would also have.

I installed 15x8's and definitely wouldn't go any wider than that. My next project will be some fender flares because the wider wheels throw dirt and mud all over the side of my car any time there is water on the road.

But it's wouldn't be wide enough.

Wow, I've never seen those before. I had found a Japanese company that makes some for the first gen but they cost as much as I paid for the car so I don't really consider them an option.

Yeah it's a rare kit. I've seen it in person once, and I believe there is a member here who has it on his black SE. It's one of those things you wouldn't notice unless you knew about it.

I should really take the plunge and grab a set while it's still available lol. But I'm cheap, so I'm just hitting up websites with the part number hoping I can find one clearancing it.

So I spent Friday morning by reading the Ecu file and copying it, sent it to the Celtic Tuning and by lunch I had the updated map in my inbox.
Spent 5 min on Saturday morning to reflash the Ecu with the modified map.
Best 200USD I've ever spent.. The 55hp and 41torque makes the V pull like a friggin train

Also started modifying the V with some stuff..
Hood deflector, Fitting a switch panel, a LED bar that gives 1 Lux at 1400ft.. A Stebel Nautilus horn that gives 140dB instead of the original 110dB beep-beep and a relay bridge.

If you see the flare kit available buy as many as you can. Everyone asks about them, I haven't seen them for sale since ~2008. 02-04 had body side cladding that is also tough to find.
I suspect it's also rare because the kit originally came with adhesives and a 3M primer, but they didn't send the primer out or the dealerships weren't using it, and the whole kit peels off the car if it spends time outside in the sun. I had to re-glue and clamp a lot of the pieces to get them to stop flapping in the breeze. I went through a whole accessories warranty thing with Honda and a 3M rep.

Here's a couple pics, older and more recent (it's an EX):

Yep, you're the dude I was thinking had the flare kit!

Did you do a retrofit or are those aftermarket headlights?
