I am looking into a nitrous kit for my H22, but I don't know much about the companies, from whatI have gathered though I heard that zex and nitrous express are pretty good, which one is a better, mor reputable company???

for being a first timer i would say go with zex. easy install, easy to use. and i believe they have the WOT sensor and Rev limit sensor. so those will help u from not destroying you motor.

are you planning on using a dry shot or a wet shot? Dry shot go with zex the brain is comes with raises the fule pressure when you use it, so you wont run as lean. If you get a wet shot either or would be fine.

most likely going with wet and i am not installing it, letting my friend so it he has more experience with installs, only drive the car on the weekends mainly

Nitrous Express Wet Kit with a MSD Digital RPM window switch.

NX is a bit better components from what I have run into so far. Wet kit is the only way to go and I personally would never run a kit of any type without a window switch. A simple RPM activation switch is not enough. The window switch will allow you to bring the nitrous in at a point that you want it for example at later rpm's to save clutch wear and driveline abuse. It also alows you to cut it off at a set point for example a few hundred RPM before your powerband starts to drop off or your air fuel ratio starts to lean out on the top end. The digital box allows for quick changes of RPM set points as you see fit rather than buying and swapping out RPM pills.

I know for a fact NX makes what they advertise. By that I mean a 50shot from the NX kit makes 50hp to the wheels when tested on a dyno. I have seen it on more than a couple cars at dyno days and tune events. I have yet to see a Zex kit do that. I have seen only a handful of Zex kits but they all fell short of thier installed hp shot.

They are both excellent kits, I have owned, installed and sold both types before and have nothing but good things to say about both of them. The ZEX kit tends to be a very nice simple and easy, clean install, with some nice features on it like the WOT switch that taps into the TPS instead of having to mount it which can be awkward like other nitrous kits. The ZEX dry kit will make good power, slightly less than the wet version of the same kit. It's a good one to go with if you don't have, or plan on running a bottle heater. A wet kit will make it's advertised power and then some every time as long as the bottle is at the proper temperature, if it isn't it'll run rich and not make as much as the ZEX dry kit will on average because the ZEX kit has the ability to alter the fuel to nitrous ratio based on bottle temperature.

I would go with the ZEX kit for simplicity and if you don't really plan on fooling with it at anytime later on. An NX kit is more flexible to upgrades and better for racing and the more experienced user IMO. I run the NX kit on my car now because it was easier to hook it into my Hondata setup, if I didn't have a Hondata I would have gone with the ZEX wet kit. A window switch is a nice addition but not absolutely necessary to run the kit safely.
