Default Yep, another tranny question.

So if I don't get my full B series swap, I'm going to stay with my D. I want to replce my auto with a manual tranny.

Other than the obvious, what is going to be involved in doing this and how hard is this really gonna be? I'm nervous because I know jack about trannys and this is the first change I want to make. Please help!

its not all that hard, the first time i did this swap it took 7 days, this was for several reasons, i didn't know about the pocket mount when i started, it was -35c, my father was helping me and he broke his shoulder blade the week before so he couldn't really do much, and to top it all off i ended up with a set of messed up axles, drivers and passengers side inner joints got mixed up somehow. The next time i did the swap it took a day and half, but i had heat, 2 abled bodied guys helping me and i knew exactly what was involved. quick run down of parts:
transmission
clutch
flywheel & flywheel bolts
pedals
master cylinder, slave cylinder and clutch lines
passengers side pocket mount off a manual if its on a 5th gen, or a converison mount
some wiring from manual car if you want to do it right
shift linkage
hole where the shifter comes up through the floor so you can snap the inner shift boot on
both shift boots, there is one in the console and one below
manual transmission rubber mount
manual transmission vibration mount
manual transmission starter

I'm sure i missed something but thats reasonably complete, heres a mini guide i did on how to wire the starting circuit.

Hope all that helps, good luck with your swap
