yeah not another idle question but here me out
well i have a b16a and it blew up from hydrolock and i had a guy install a b16a longblock in it which was about a year ago and every since i got the motor, every morning i would start teh car and it would idle at 400 to 500 rpm shaking the car alot due to the fact of low idle. Everything morning i have to step on the gas to make it stop shaking and once its warmed up it idles at 700 750 which is normal but im just fed up with it ever morning for the past six months should i turn the screw on the throttle cable? or do you guys have any other suggestions that i can do please help i am really fed up with it every single morning

I'd just play with the idle screw until I found a happy medium between the cold idle and the warm idle.

Doesn't the B16 have a fast idle thermo valve? You know the whole expanding wax pellet thing.
Sorry Im of little help I know. Adjusting the Air bypass screw will most likely affect your 700rpm normal idle. There should be a way that the B16 controls fast idle usually a thermo valve on most hondas. Although some just use the IAC in which case is it possible your car doestn' know that its cold? Maybe a bad temp sensor somewhere. Scan tools are so handy, but soo very expensive.
Sorry I just don't know much about B16 engines yet. Haven't owned one. But I woudl think the way it operates is similar to other Honda engines.

Do not adjust the idle screw. You should almost never have to touch it; there's almost always a mechanical reason for an idle problem.
It sounds like our cold idle or fast idle (I forget what honda calls them) that needs to be replaced. It keeps the idle up around 1500 or so until the car warms up. Replace that, and it should take care of you problem.
