Default y8 block and z6 head combination??????

i have a y8 block and a z6 head ,lots of people tell me im losing power because of the cylinder head ,is it realy true or is it bullshit , i have the y8 head in the garage but like my car is a 92 it was easier to plug the distribuator back.

you're not going to lose that much power between a y8 and z6 head, we're talking d-series here, whatever is easiest sounds like the best way to me. What would the power loss be 10hp tops. don't fret, stick with the z6
