94 Honda civic ex. This is the second time my ecu shorted. Two different ecu. Same condition.
All this car have is an after viper alarm. Aftermarket radio and aftermarket hids.
It doesn't blow the ecu fuse it actually just blow the ecu. I'm really stumped as to why?
Any idea? Would the aftermarket alarm do this?
I would go to.work park the car for 8 hours. Come out and disarm the alarm get in. Start the car. Won't start. Check engine light stays on with no code flash when jumped. Pump won't prime and no spark.
This really sucks ecus are expensive.
Does anyone know anyone who actually repair them?

This usually happens when some sensor connectors are swapped. Make sure the wires in all sensor connectors match with the sensor.

Deffinately sounds like you have some wires crossed get yourself a multimeter or ohmmeter and start checking wires. Also get yourself a Helms manual to check against. I would start by checking where you did the last change alarm, radio, or hids. Good luck

Are there burn marks on the ECU board? If so post pics and might be able to shed a little light on what's going on.
