Would AC fit on EG w/ GSR motor mount.
I currently have a 94 Civic CX. I have the D16 VTEC currently and have no AC. I am planning to swap in a JDM B18C GSR soon. It's getting hot in my area lately and I want to get AC for my car. My CX never even came with AC straight off the factory; so I am planning to try to junkyard and get the complete AC parts. My big concern is will the AC compressor made for the D16 VTEC fit on the GSR motor? Because if it does not then I guess I have to wait and get AC when I actually do the swap; if it does fit then I would much rather want to get AC for my D16 VTEC right now and later just bolt on the AC compressor on the GSR motor. Thank you for any inputs.

The D series compressor will not bolt correctly to the p72 bracket. If you get a B series compressor, however, thats different - Yes.
I would just buy a B compressor off a member in the marketplace...
If you can only find D series compressors, youre going to have to buy a CRV P7J AC bracket (or if you want to spend more $, the Del Sol P54).

^What he said.
Putting AC into a car that doesnt have it originally is a pan. How soon do you plan on doing the GSR swap? If its before summer then just get the B series compressor, itll be easier when swap time comes. If its going to be after then get the D to last you through summer and pick up the Del Sol/CRV bracket.

Oh, so the D series compressor will fit on a Del sol/CRV bracket? And the Del Sol/CRV bracket will fit on the B series? If this is true I think I might go for this plan.
Will I need to use any other different parts for the AC?

Oh i see. But i can get the complete AC for the D series and just grab a Del sol/CRV and leave it aside until i swap in a B series and this should work?

This is what i would do if i was you. Grab the bracket, and put it away. Get a D series setup and put it on your D series. When your ready for the B series just leave the compressor hanging and swap it in with the bracket. Simple.

Thanks, is there a link to a how to put AC on my civic when it never came with it in the beginning? Im planning to go to junkyard and get these parts so I would greatly appreciated if someone can give me a link or all the parts I need, or you can tell me; that would be nice too. Thanks again.

Bump.
Pretty much what I am asking now is when I am at the junkyard and removing all the AC parts, what do I need to remove to make it complete and working. Thanks.

Heh, I guess I can figure out the big component parts. But my main issue I am still unsure about is the electrical part? Is there relays I need or fuses? Which wire should I get? Thanks.

Its all right there. I dont believe there is anything under the fuse box, but i could be wrong, and if i am all youll have to do is put a fuse in. If theres anything connected to the compressor under the hood.... take it. If theres anything attached to the blower.... take it. These are harnesses i am talking about.
I say you try picking up 95 Project's setup that his selling, its there for you.
