Re: help plz... ac compressor..
I am actually installing ac into my b16 swapped eg hatch and also ran into a few bumps when trying to figure out which AC BRACKET/AC LINES/AC COMPRESSOR combo i needed. In your situation, if you have your stock ac bracket (P54) you will need a d series ac compresssor... B series compressor will NOT work.
Here is what I have come up with and can tell you FOR SURE:
1. to use your Stock single cam compressor, you will either need to get a P54 (del sol vtec) or PJ7 (97-01 CRV) ac bracket. this will allow you to retain your stock ac lines and stock compressor.
* CRV bracket will NOT allow you to retain powersteering.
* this seems to be the simplest alternative that i have come up with.
2. Since you say your car is an eg2 (del sol vtec), if you do in fact have your original ac bracket (stamped p54) all you will need to do is get a d series ac compressor which looks like this ---------> D Series Compressor
* note how the in/out holes look. this is characteristic only of d series compressors.
hope this helps! any questions feel free to pm me...
