Is it worth putting performance mods on an automatic 94 Civic hatchback dx
Hi I have a couple questions I just recently bought a 94 hatchback Civic dx automatic would a high performance exhaust and cold air intake make my car slightly faster also are their other mods I can do to make my automatic Civic faster? Also is it possible to put a turbo on an automatic 94 Civic hatchback dx I ask because I heard the auto transmission won't be able to handle the high hp of turbo but want a second opinion

Yes and no. You can put these mods on, but really? It's a 24/25 year old car, and Honda automatics are freaking garbage. You might also have to tune your car to these boltons. Your best gains would be from a manual swap, IMO.
Are you physically not capable of driving a manual? Not trying to be a discriminating dick, but honestly my 90 Si HB feels faster than any car my family owns except for the 85 auto Corvette (obviously). The wife can have her automatics, but I will never ******* own an auto unless my left leg gives out.
But really, the manual transmission would be the first upgrade in my book. I used to have an auto 91 DX hatch and it was a flaming piece of trash.

No I'm not handicapped I just didn't know how to drive a manual at the time and Its my first car however I have heard before about taking out the automatic and doing a maual swap my question is how much does something like that usually cost because my only concern is the cost to do a swap is gonna be twice as much as the cars worth

I'm not handicap I just didn't know how to drive manual when I first bought it how much does a tranny swap to manual usually cost parts and labor included? Rather save my money for a mod that will actually make a difference then just blow it on bolt on parts that don't really help

Also no si hatchbacks were ever built in the US, maybe in countries I've never heard of though but definitely not US.

Well it boils down to this.... Bolt on mods do very little to improve these D series motors. And typically to see any gains you have to tune them after the mods are installed. And if you want real gains you do full on builds which require tuning.
The automatics are not really supported for tuning as the ECU does have some Transmission Control Module in the 5th gens. It's highly unlikely there is a tuner around that can tune an AUTO ECU even if it is chipped. So essentially you can't tune an auto therefore you won't see any gains no matter what you do to the engine.
Had to have happened, all the US Honda Part sites show 5th gen 3 door Si's.

Then again, only you indicated "assembled", while everyone else was saying buy a USDM Si Hatch in the 92-95 flavor.
