which ECU do you plan on using? the stock P73? then you need a knock sensor, if you're going OBD1 with a chipped P28 then you don't need it.
post the colors of wires going to the plugs and I can tell you what they are.

I agree... pics or wire colors would be awesome!
The only other round plugs like the knock is the IAB and the purge control solenoid that i can think of, and the IAB is on the side and plugs in under the intake mani on the drivers side.

Re: wiring help b18c (free99)
1. I think you are referring to the IAT, yours was in the air box, this one is in the intake manifold and it has a different plug
2. The y7 doesn't have a knock sensor, you will have to wire this up
3. I think you are referring to the oil pressure switch, your engine should have this in the same place as the Y7

So Im wondering why you cant cut the knock plug off the harness the motor came with and solder it on the harness you are using?
As for the pics, the Type R and GSR I would think have the same plugs on the block? What looks different?
I dont know what your sayin with the "i can do the 96-98 harness cuz the car is obd2b that 96-is a obd2a the ecu plugs are different and the plug on the the dizzy ", but worst case you cut the plugs off your harness the came with the motor, and solder them on to the harness you are using as well. I got a OBD2A motor and used my non-vtec OBD1 harness. Anything is possible with a little thought and the right tool!
The 3wire IACV to 2 wire... thats a question for someone else... I would recommend studying your wiring diagrams and see if you can cheat it out or something. Kinda like what you do with the VTEC oil pressure switch when you dont have one and your ECU requires one.
