Wipers Popped Now Acting Up

Windshield wiper problem.
We got a shitload of snow on the south side of Buffalo overnight. I had my wipers going then I heard a loud pop. My wipers quit working. Now they're free swiping and don't go back all the way. What did I break?

I had a similar problem a little while back, turned out that the bolt had just become loose. Might want to check the wiper bolt and see if the nut became loose, or what. not sure about some loud pop, hope you get it fixed.

It's not that because they're both like that and if you move one they both move. So they're definately still tied in to each other through the motor.

the arms are tied together through the linkage.
it's been a while since I've looked at it but I think there is another bolt that connects the linkage to the motor.
pull off the shrouding around the wipers and take a look.

I talked to a man at a garage today and he said the same thing. I looked on hondaautomotiveparts.com and I can't pinpoint it. I know these diagrams are shitty, but looking at it, what number would you think the culprit may be?

12 and 13, the wiper arm linkage. They go bad all the time on civics and accords. Pop off the windsheild crowl piece and see if one of the linkages has come off. #12 connects to the motor so that should be the one that is off. They are real easy to put back on, just put the cap over the peg in the motor and press down on it while moving the arm side to side.
