WIPERS always on help?

WIPERS always on help?
after having no wipers for a week... i replaced the fuse and they work ... the problem is they don't shut off... what could cause this problem? need to fix quick theres a storm a come'n

the switch tends to get gummed up, and if it gets gummed up enough the little arm that swings the switch snaps off.
either that or you have a wiring problem.

i don't think the wiper piece comes a part like the one showed in your link... i tohught it was all one piece connected with the turn signal.....
right now i rigged a toggle switch in the fuse panel to run the wipers so i can at least have some wiper action....
more help please...

that was done on my '92 hatch, and the switch removal part was clipped from the Helm, so yes yours comes apart just like that.
I do need to retake some of the pics, but they should be enough to get you to the right place. It's pretty self explanitory when you get started.
