Default Window's Stuck -.-

Hey guys, I tried to roll my window down one day after I got to work but the crank wouldn't turn no more. So after I kept messing around with it I just forced it to turn and broke it so it spins freely now, yea pretty stupid. So I guess I need a new window scissor, does anyone know if I have to get the same window scissor from my model (EG) or can I use a newer models (EK)?

the mechanics of both are the same, however im unsure of the mounting points, do you the know distance between the mounting points on the glass? and have you even taken the door panel and everything off to see if thats actually what you really need? wouldnt wanna see you buy a new part and it end up being something retarded like the window crank being stripped out or something.

I have taken the panel off and tried messing with it, I didn't have enough time to take out the window scissor yet, but I do believe the crank is stripped from me trying to force it. But before it was stripped I guess it was stuck on something, I'm waiting til I get off work to take it out completely.

I do not think they are the same. Just go to your local junkyard and pull one out of a donor.

^^^ Junkyards are your friends. have you ever had a problem with the window coming out of track? mine came out of track and busted about a year ago from being so jammed up. its hard to tell what could be causing it, bent track, something stuck in the track, something stuck in the gears of the window mechanism, or even possibly a broken pivot point in the "scissor." first chance you get, look at it and make absolutely sure youre careful with the glass as it may be in a bind and could bust with the slightest amount of pressure... exploding glass sucks!!!

Yea thats what i'm probably going to have to get one from a junkyard or a local dismantler. Just too hot to be driving right now especially if I can't roll down the window.

Default Window's not stuck, now it won't roll down even =/

Well I went out and bought the whole regulator today, spent 2 hours in the heat putting it on and after everythings all done, my window doesn't want to stay on track rolling up/down. It seems like the track is catching the window some how and it's rolling down unevenly causing it to pop out the track... Even applying a little bit of pressure on the front half of the window will cause it to tilt and fall out of the track. Any one have any input on this?

Bent the track? I was thinking that too, I tried to feel around the track to see if it could be unbolted so I can take it off and try it bend it back or something but there only seems to be one bolt. Is it possible to change out the tracks?

First spray some silicone lubricant into the rubber side tracks and then adjust the window glass:
