Damn that sucks dood. My window came off track when i pulled in front of a club to dj..now that sucks...i now have to drive around with no door panel on my window so i can hold the track with my hand through the speaker hole

Anywho, best bet is to take off the door panel and speaker by the speaker you should see a bolt (holds bottem of window rail in place). Lossen it and put window about 3/4 of the way down and move the rail to get it back in place. Once window is in the rail tighten bolt and watch window go up real slow ans see where the problem is. Best i can do for you right now.

Well it depends, if your window is still on the track and its just not going up then yeah you could always get a new motor. If it comes off the track the you need new rails.

well first of all, if you did 0 trouble shooting, that's why you're not getting a good response. and calling people dumb doesn't help.

take the door apart and see if you can see anything **** up, it probably is the motor, but take the door apart first.

then if you still can't figure it out, then ask your question again, politely, and with some pictures maybe. and then someone might help you

you taking english classes in highschool? damn seriously though you need to take off the door panel and check to make sure that the window rail bolts are tight and that none are missing, check the track lining to make sure its not messed up and that the window is still actually in the track. after you get that all taken care of lube up the track and you should be good to go.

this was just recently covered in this form a couple weeks ago. You're probably going to have to replace the window regulator/motor as I'm sure the regulator is probably baked by now. What you described with your windows going up and down slowly happens to EVERY civic in time if the window tracks are not lubricated on a regular basis! Some dry silicone spray is all you'll need to keep them working smoothly.

Was not aware of this.....can you give me some more info on how to lube it up (wow that sounded suspect..lol)...if my window is already messed up is it to late to start doing this?

it might be to late for the window regulator but once you lube the window tracks you'll know for sure. When you buy the can of dry silicone lube they usually come with a thin red straw extension that plugs into the spray tip. Put that in and then go to the back of the door window track (with the window all the way down) put the straw in the track and give it a good spray. then go to the front of the door frame where the front track is and so the same there. Roll the window up and down a few times to see how it's working. If the window still binds up you'll prob have to replace the motor/regulator as the cable inside is probably chewed up. Lube the window tracks everytime you change your oil, that'll help you to remember to do it on a regular basis.

My motor is good. Its just the rails that are messed up, more on the driver side then the passenger. At first it was just messed up, then from having to loosin the bottem front bolt too many times it got stripped. So then the rail was jiggling around. So i upgraded to a bigger screw, but its not tight, so i still have to hold it with my hand through the speaker hole.

Not exactly sure how to fix it, guess just get a new door?
