My 95 civic won't idle
Any time the rpm's drop it dies
Only once it's warm
Sorry if the format is off I'm on my phone
Thanks,
Jeremie

Re: will a y8 iacv work with an obd1 z6?
I know it will fit
It's currently installed on the car
But it's still doing the same thing...
I guess it's not the iacv that's the problem...
Any sugestions on what to check next?

No air in the system
The rpm's have been bouncing for about a year
And one day it just didn't idle any more...
Figured iacv... what else could it be? Is there a fast idle?

fast idle thermo valve, its bolted under the throttle body... when the car is warmed up take off the intake tube and plug the bottom hole in the throttle body. If it has suction and when you plug it the idle goes normal than you fitv is bad

and this iacv is on the back of your intake manifold and next to the throttle body
and has kinda a tube shape to it and two 12mm bolts and two hoses and one plug cant miss it

Re: will a y8 iacv work with an obd1 z6?
ok i have replaced the iacv and the fitv
still doing the same thing...
the rpms drop and the car dies
if i controle the speed of the rpm drop it's good MOST of the time
i have a 10lb fly and action 2md clutch
the fly is old as hell 4+years
the clutch is 2-3years old
thought that might be the problem because I'm getting a LOT of chatter when the clutch is released...
however it does it in nuteral as well... (not the chatter but the car dieing...)
fuel pressure is good
new plugs, wires, cap, and button (within the last 6-8 months)
i do have a bosch o2 sensor on it now and i have heard bad thing about them
but it was on the car for 3-4 months prior...
guys i'm stumped
help
wtf could it be?

seeing as how you replace the fit and iacv. I would adjust the idle up with the idle screw. How low does it idle when its cold. the screw is next to the map sensor

Re: will a y8 iacv work with an obd1 z6?
ya thought of that but my screw driver is to fat
rpm's are around 800-900 when the clutch is in
jumps to 1500 +/- whenever clutch is released
it needs a clutch soon and a flywheel even sooner
but i don't think it's related because it will do it in eather case
in nuteral if i rev the car it's like it can't resist the rpm drop and it dies
and that's in eather case clutch in or out...
man i'm lost
but
started new thread this one is now off topic
let this one die
