i have a 93 honda civic hatchback just wondering if a jdm front end domani similar to the acura el will fit on it? and will the front end just fit 96-00 civic 4door sedans? because i havent seen them on 96-00 coupes or hatchbacks let me know

The front end will bolt onto any 96-00 Civic sedan, coupe, or hatch. It won't fit on a 92-95 Civic without modifications.

The Domani and 1.6 EL front end are pretty much the same. I believe the 1.6 EL's grille is chrome trimmed though. Find someone in Canada to help you out.

There is a Domani model that is from the same year range as the 5th gen Honda Civic, but it appears to be based off of the Rover chassis instead. This front would honestly look better on a 5th gen though, if only because it wouldn't look so much newer than the 1.6EL front end.

Headlights, turn signals, bumper markers and grilles are all different between that generation of the Honda Domani, Acura 1.6EL and the Isuzu Gemini.

Acura 1.6EL (Canada)


- Amber front turn signals
- Amber front markers
- Color matched grille shell
- Thin grille shell
- Acura "A" in grille
- No sidemarkers on fenders
- No emblems on front doors
- "Dumbo" (USDM) sideview mirrors (note that second pic shows folding mirrors, but car is modified and likely not to have these stock - though many 1.6ELs show these mirrors, the Honda photos show the Dumbo ears)
- Clear rear turn signals
- Acura "A" badge on middle of trunk lid
- "Acura" badge on left side of trunk lid
- "1.6EL" badge on right side of trunk lid

Honda Domani (Asia)


- Clear front turn signals
- Clear front markers

can anyone vouch for a straight bolt up or will modifcation be needed? ie fiber glass work....cutting fenders in half....or changing the rad support like in the 96-98 civics with the 99-00 front ends

I really doubt it'd just fit on with no modification. We already know 6th gen fronts need modification (fender cutting) to fit a 5th gen, so that generation definitely won't fit. The Domani first pictured in the thread is on the same chassis as the 6th gen and the fenders will bolt onto a 6th gen, but not a 5th gen.

The older Domani front also won't fit because it's on a Rover chassis. Either would be custom.

I know at least most of it will bolt up. I'd be concerned about the core support though.

That's just the headlights of a Rover chassis Domani. The rest of the front end is all '92-'95 Civic hatch.
