Re: Will Integra GSR exhaust fit Civic coupe? (v8hunter)
Why the hell not? It's a good idea. Maybe he doesn't want to go buy the "Trendy, Ricey, or Expensive" stuff. GSR exhaust systems will generally flow better than a stock 99 Civic DX. 98CivicDX: you can try and look for a stock 99+ SI exhaust system which would be more than enough flow for a DX. You should be able to find one cheap b/c they are usually replaced by the "Trendy, Ricey, or Expensive" stuff. But you probably will need to change your exhaust manifold and cat from a 96+ EX. Here you may opt to go for the "Trendy, Ricey, or Expensive" stuff by using a header instead of a stock EX exhaust manifold. There are headers out there that aren't that expensive though.
why the hell you want to put integra exhaust on a civic for???????????

It will fit but it requires an extension piece between the beginning of the exhaust and the cat to make the hangers line up and the tip will hang under the bumper a little more than your stock one did, but you can make it fit.
Exhaust from 92-00 were the same on the coupes and people are putting ITR exhausts on Civics, but no they dont' "bolt right up" but they fit.

Yeah, you can make them fit. I'm fitting one in my hatch b/c of a B18C swap I'm doing. Seems the GS-R cat-back exhaust would compensate for the gap btwn the header on the GS-R and the cat on my civic, so I won't have to make any unnecessary trips to the muffler shop. I didn't think it'd work either, but a buddy of mine who put a LS/VTEC in his civic put in a GS-R exhaust on his civic hatch and it worked. Mine's a hatchback too, so I dunno about the coupe - shouldn't be that much diff. tho.
