Re: 99 civic lx - Will Yonaka exhaust fit?
If the exhaust system was designed for a 99 ex sedan/coupe it will not fit properly to a 99 ls sedan/coupe because the converter was built into the headers. So now the b-pipe has to extend all the way to the header. The ex model has the converter after the headers and than the b-pipe. If you have plans of getting a complete exhaust system than do it all together by get ex headers, a cat converter and then buy the yonaka ex model exhaust system.

Header* not dealing with V engines here....I4 a adjustable test pipe will solve any fitment issues or just going to an exhaust shop to have pipe extended/shortened.

The EX and Si models have a conventional styled header with the cat located just behind and under the rear crossmember... and this is where the "cat-back" would begin. The DX, HX, and LX models have the cat mounted up front, so the "cat-back" would actually begin forward of the oil pan. This is where the fitments differ... since the distance between these two points is nearly three feet. One could acquire the EX style exhaust manifold and cat, and then use the Yonaka cat-back. You would also need a couple of O2 sensor extension wires so as not to butcher/modify your original engine harness.
Good luck.
Good luck.

That would definitely work, however for a person that might need to pass inspection I'm not sure if he/she would pass or fail when they see two collectors.
