Default Will this hurt that much?

My question is will not running an aftermarket exhaust affect my performance that much?I have had my jspec b18c1 since oct. and just now saved up enough to get my clutch,pp, and flywheel.I just have a few little things to gt now before it goes in.No big deal.I do not want to wait till I can save up enough money to get the cat back.So I am wondering if my stock 94 cx exhaust will affect my performance that much? TIA

Wonder what flows more air?
Small diameter, or large diameter.
Really y0. Think about it...

I vote for run it straight from headers. All the cool people do it that way.....

Or not. Without back pressure it will kill the powerband.

with that much flow on that motor your stock exhaust will be ok for low end aka under 4k rpm. after that expect the possiblity of your muffler to bust or to have other problems due to the back pressure.i have seen a muffler blow up on just a b18c1 with intake swapped into a dx hatch.

I do not plan on running the stock exhaust for that long of a period of a time, just until I can get the $500 or so saved up to get the cat back. And no I do not plan on running open header until then either. Also I do not plan on running the motor hard until I see how its gonna do.Thanks eveybody for the input.

i can 100% safely say... running your b series motor
with the stock civic exhaust and piping absolutely sucks.
i rode like that for 1 month, switched it out and
the gain in power was amazing.

My brother did the same thing, left his CX exhaust thing on and drove the ***** out of his car. The exhaust canister exploded off the piping.

Get Magnaflow 2.5 inch resonator and oval muffler and a Catco 2.5 inch cat and then get 2.5 inch piping bent all the way back. You'll end up spending about $300 for a seriously stealth, excellent-power-making exhaust. Paint it black and it's even better

OMG, I'd never run stock CX exhaust with that swap. I won't even run it with a D16Z6 swap. At least try and find a shop with a Si/EX exhaust that was left behind.
