Will b18c5 provide matching torque to a DSM?
I just got a ride in my friends talon and damn that thing pulls hard compared to my civic. He had the motor rebuilt with cams, bore over and Intake and exhaust. Still a stock turbo but I would love to feel what a T3/T4 pulls like. Will a b18c5 (in coupe) pull as hard as a DSM stock to stock.

hell no... torque and hp figures on a DSM stock or modified are almost equal. b18c5 = 195 flywheel hp, but like 130 something torque. Honda motors are notorious for little torque.
I have a c5 in my ek, and i love it, but my friend's 2g DSM with a t-28 at 18PSI hauls some serious DSM ***...

Really? I should own his *** with a c5. He has a stock turbo? and he has not even upped the boost yet.

my brother's old DSM, stock turbo and internals, but took the balance shafts pulled HARD! On drag radials it ran I think low low 13's. It was completely gutted and seemed to pull about as good as my room mates Type R with T3/T4 full interior and 2 people in it, if that can tell you anything

Bench racing sucks. I'm not even going to compare the two supposed cars because there's too many variables.
What I can do is tell you that my friend's 1995 Si hatch that weighs 2450lbs. (your coupe is probably lighter) is running 14.0 on street tires with nothing more than an ITR swap and basic i/h/e and kenji ECU.
14.0 is damn good for a basically stock motor, and I'm thinking your coupe could be lighter than 2450lbs.

well i have a 4 dr 92 civic with a jspec b18c. All i have are bolt ons. I raced a old friends GST and it was very close. In 1st and second he had me by a car but then in 3rd gear i got him by about a car. He had a clutch, intake, exhaust (but not a 3 inch which makes a huge difference on those cars). Another buddy of mine has a 3inch alone and he beats me by about a car
