Default will 1990 Integra engine fit in a 1993 civic?

My dad just got a 1993 civic for free, but he's probably looking to put a newer engine in it (with less mileage). At the same time, my friend's uncle is selling a 1990 Integra for parts, but the motor (which has a VTEC head) has only 35,000 miles on it. I (actually my dad), was wondering if the Integra engine would fit into the civic with little or no modification, since they are sisters. I'm not sure of the actually engine code, as I don't know what the older teg's are. Anyway, what would need to be done to make this engine fit? Any else necessary for the ecu or any sensors or anything?
Thanks VERY much
Tim

A 1990 engine will have a cable tranny, so you'll need a hydro-cable conversion kit from HaSport.

i've had the swap done in my car, you need an integ shift linkage, and mounts, as well as an integ ecu, and i had to use an integ wiring harness. the o2 sensor wires are not the same. i think thats it.

Yes, with the right mounts, and possible tranny hydro conversion the engine will fit. I would recomend searching in the eg forum for swaps as there is far too much info that has been covered many times before. It's tough to give any other advice without knowing what is in the engine bay. The engine could be an lsvtec hybrid or perhaps it already has a vtec engine swap done.

or spend the money and get a hydro b16 tranny out of a 98-00 si, you'll be running pretty high rpm's on the highway but its worth it for the quarter mile.

What are you talking about? It makes perfect sense what I am asking. Will a 1990 Integra LS engine (with a VTEC head) fit in a 1993 civic. I know I just need the motor mounts from Hasport and a kit to switch from hydro to cable trannies.

you could use the stock teg mounts instead of buying ones from hasport if you are looking to get by cheap. the 90 teg motor is OBD0(round plugs on harness) and the 93 civic is obd1(square plugs on harness) so get the teg harness and ecu. sounds like you are pretty set if you have the whole parts car. just get the cable to hydro conversion and you'll be good to go.
