Wierd loud clicking noise from front left wheel well?!?!
i was driving home about a week ago from a friends house and started to notice this wierd tickin noise from the front left tire/wheel well area....didnt really think much about it.....thought mabye it was just alignment or something but since then it has gotten a lot louder and i have no idea wat it is. It also only happens when i let off the gas or brake....when im pushing on the gas or the brake it doesnt make the noise. Im guessing it might be something with my axel or something i really have no idea. thought mabye someone would know wat this is if this has happened to them before or something. o ya, my car is 99 EK coupe with b18c motor.

make sure your lugs are tight, ihad that same noise,it was a loose lug nuts, while accelerating it would go away, but as i slowed down the wheel would start hitting the studs and making a thud thud noiseevery so many feet till i stopped.

i had a similar problem, at first i thought it was only the drivers side wheel well because thats the only place i could hear it from inside the car, but it turned out to be coming from the tranny. have someone listen from outside your car and if they say its coming from all around its probably something in the tranny. here's the link to my thread about the same thing:

ive concluded that its my clutch, but im going to have it checked out to be sure.

I experienced the same tickling noise and it turned out to be my tires ripping apart....so you might want to check that out.

Get ready to dump some cash in her. sounds like your cv boots gone and the cv joint is grinding. If she's lowerd you mite go with axels better than factory.www.tciauto.com or the axel shop .com (i think?). If you swaped motors sometimes the shafts arnet long enough and will pull the boot apart. If its lowerd sometimes it puts undo stress on the axels and wears then out quick!
