Why tilt your fuel filter?
Why do people with EG's tilt their fuel filters when the OEM position is up right. I think EKs might be OEM tilted though.. Just always wondered that. I am hoping its not some "JDM yo" thing..
For example,

Re: Why tilt your fuel filter?
'92 - '94 Civics have an upright filter with both lines entering and exiting from the top, in '95 Honda changed to a tilted fuel filter with fuel entering the bottom and exiting the top. No JDM trend, now be quiet before you start one '96 - '00 Civics and '97 - '01 CR-Vs use a tilted filter for all years.

Thank you for clearing that up though. Yeah, grumblemarc, this is serious. Is that not an acceptable question? Why are some filters tilted and some upright... Damn that question is so dumb, I won't even take it seriously.

Re: Why tilt your fuel filter?
How serious can a tilted or not tilted filter be? What? Is there more horsepower to be gained from a tilt? Other than aesthetics it really isn't important. It's like when a little kid asks why the sky is blue and you answer "Just because".

Okay, I understand where your coming from more now. But still, c'mon. I've never actually known. I have a 92 Civic so I've always thought all EGs were supposed to be up right. I notice little things and they annoy me. So I see another car with a tilted one and I'm like... is this some (now this is where the thing you said comes into play) "more horsepower to be gained from a tilt"-ed fuel filter type ****!?

Re: Why tilt your fuel filter?
Yea...I am in Atl GA and there seems to be alot more 95's than other years. I had a 95 with the tilt and now I have a 94 with upright. I think I like the tilted better!

Re: Why tilt your fuel filter?
Well I guess the question is answered. NO one is tilting any fuel filters. They come that way. There is no option from the factory to order it either way. it's not a trend. It's not a fad. If you don't like it tilted what do you do? Order a straightening bracket kit from PWJDM?

Re: Why tilt your fuel filter?
LOL yeah theres definitely no need to change the way yours is. If its a 92-94 keep it straight, 95 keep it tilted. I never said it was cool or a trend or a +10 whp-er.

Yeah its 30k according to Honda. I guess it cleans it up if your doing a massive tuck, but IMHO the picture I posted in the original post is a perfect tuck and still shows the fuel filter =P

Lol pwjdm fuel filter bracket.
Tired of looking at that boring fuel filter wishing you could adjust the angle? Well now you can, with the password jdm fuel filter bracket. Made out of military grade aluminum with titanium bolts, it secures your fuel filter and allows for several different postions (). Only 159.99. For an additional 299.99 get the battery tilt bracket so you can have matching ****.

Re: Why is the sky blue?
FYI, the sky is blue due to Rayleigh Scattering. This effect also causes the sun to appear yellow instead of white, and the beautiful color change during sunsets and rises. If the planet had more or less gravity, with correspondingly more or less atmosphere, the sky would be a different color.
