why is it leaking from here?

Default why is it leaking from here?

i wnat to know why and how could i fix it..oil is leaking from my shiftlinkage...what would be the reason and how would i go about fixing it..thanks

yea.. the oil is probably coming from your tranny seal.. which probably went bad.. i had the same problem.

Go to honda.. and buy a tranny seal for what ever year the tranny is SOHC... and you have to take out the driver side axle and replace the seal.

BUZZZZZZ.........wrong.

Drain tranny oil first!
To replace the shift shaft seal, unbolt the shift linkage from the tranny. Using a screwdriver pry the old seal out, then use a socket and small hammer to drive in the new seal.

Here is what you need.....the shaft seal is the same on every Honda tranny I've ever worked on.
