Default Why GM Syncromesh should not always be used for Honda Transmissions...

Its leaking from my transmission all over the place. Axle seals, between the two halves. It spray the bottom of the car, all the way to the muffler (rust proofing!) and even sprayed all the way to my spoiler on the back of my car. **** sucks now i need a new transmission becuase this one is toast

I only put in Honda OEM MTF. Around where I live, if you ask the guys that work there, they will tell you all sorts of **** that they don't know about. Went to Pep-boys, they told me to but 80-90w in it.. I was like, "no thanks". Went to the Orelie's down the road and they said put diesel oil in it.... wtf.. From there I went to the dealership

Wow ..... you fucked up propper.

This is in no way the fault of a transmission fluid. You could fill a tranny with grape Kool-Aide and sperm, and this kind of **** won't happen.

Then you needed new axle seals and you put your tranny together wrong. It's not the transmission's fault.

I'm using GM syncromesh in my ITR tranny and it's fine, shifts like butter as it did in every other honda tranny i've used it in also.

Yeah replace those axle seals. My seals were leaking and I was using Honda MTF and yeah it sprayed all over the underbody of my car. And if any type of tranny fluid is leaking between the two halves then you got bigger problems to worry about.

The tranny casing needs to be resealed..

i dont get why Honda MTF didn't leak and GM syncromesh leaks that bad. Something is wrong somewhere, but it didn't leak before hands.

Sounds like the seals, they must have recently worn out and need replacement. Really dought it that the GM stuff is causing it. I have used Mobil 1 15-50 Supersyn on my tranny for over 2 years with no prob and its a Full synthetic oil.
