Just wondering who's done it, what you did, like it or not, did you buy a rebuild kit, where, best parts/prices, etc.

if your going to rebuild put some better internals in it and boost it down the road

I've rebuilt many d's, b's, and even a couple h's. They were built for various purposes ranging from stock rebuild, to light nitrous use, to high boost. I took various approaches for parts which was based on the particular motors needs I rebuild. I fully blueprint every motor I rebuild and provide the motors owner with a nice folder which shows all the measurements taken and their allowed tolerances. I also detail any additionaly practices that were performed in the case of motors using power adders such as additional ring gapping, or altered clearances based on immediate need or motors which do not require break in (drag setups or some road race applications). Basically, your question is very broad and if I had to type all I do when rebuilding I would probably have carpal tunnel by the end. Start with some good books, maybe some of those Honda builders books or something, then just research all you can.
