Default who has done it and what are the results. (LS?VTEC)

was wondering who has done it and how much they liked it. would also like to no if they just swapped the head and ecu. or if they ran the oil line to the head as well. what are the ups and downs of running or not running the line.... also would like to no should i just swap the head or wait till i get the b16 pistons as well so i can bump the compression and swap the head. and for a non built motor would it be safe to shift at 7200 rpm daily or should i keep it more close to the ls's redline of 6800.. too scared to run it to 8200. this is a planned swap to take place in the next month or so. any info or links would be helpful also. and im paying 1000 for the complete job done without the pistons and 1400 if i want the pistons as well.

ps: sorry bout the punctuation they call me retarded. lol .

In general most LS/VTEC setup would be happy with their setup until something goes wrong. It makes nice torque due to the longer stroke on the LS crank and nice high end power because of VTEC. Things go wrong when you don't put the effort into doing things right the first time. Some people have oil starvation problems, head-gasket problems, and many many ls/vtec burns oil.

In response to you PM and oil line question.

Supposedly, with this kit, all you need to do is tap the head. It comes with instructions.

And about p28/p72 question:
I prefer the P28, its obd1 (nice for me because I don't need to add another o2 sensor) and doesn't have a knock sensor. But I believe people use both to socket and tune. I use a p28, socketed and its tuned with uberdata. Once you do your swap, get it tuned. Your engine will run correctly which means more power and reliability. UberData is the closest thing you can get to having all three: cheap, reliable, and fast.

Spend 2 hours searching and you will probably find everything you need to know about ls/vtec's on this site.
