whinning noice coming from tranny???
alright so i did a b18c5 swap on my civic and im sure its not the transmission but i hear a whinning noice coming from underneath the shifter.. and it only does it when i let go of the gas if im on the highway, it shifts good no grinds or anything .. any ideas of what this might be?? shift linkage maybe?? any help i would really appreciate thanks

I'm thinking tranny, I believe the clearance is off in the final drive, ring and pinon gear. Unless it's really loud it's not the big of a thing.

so my best bet would be to take it to the shop where i got the swap done so they can check whats the deal with it

There is nothing wrong with your transmission, its the noise the LSD makes. I know of two different Type R's that do the same thing and have been doing that for years with no problems.
