Wheel Bearing???
Hey guys.
Well I will be changing my wheel bearing today. Can I just purchase a new spindle with the bearing in place or do I have to get a new one pressed in?
Are there any things I should look out for when replacing my wheel bearing?
Thanks.

if its the front you need to press it in unless you buy the whole knukle( dont do that) if it the rear than its really easy. it bolts in.

I ordered the bearing today from AutoZone. It should come in tomorrow.
So all I have to do is get it pressed in? Is that hard to do and how much should that cost? How long should it take to do the actual process and getting the old one off and the new one on?
Yes its the front drivers side.
Thanks.

If you don't know what you're getting into, it may just be better to have a professional do it for you. If it were me, I'd pull that knuckle off and take it to my local shop and tell em to pull the old one off and press the new one on for me.

Re: Wheel Bearing??? (buzlink)
dude, seriously, if you dont know much about mechanics, dont do it on your own.
I am a mechanic and separating a honda wheel bearing is not something that an amateur should do. You will have to take the lower ball joint loose, the axle nut off, the upper ball joint. the brake caliper and the rotor. Then you take the knuckle to the press and press the old bearing out. Then do everything in reverse order to put it all back together. It is NOT AS EASY AS IT SOUNDS. Just take it to a mechanic if you arent sure how it works.
