Whats your car idle at ?
hey guys ..my cars been acting up .. idle and stalling problems .. i was just wondering .. what your car idles at ?

right now its idleing fine .. about 800 -850 .. right below the 1000 ...
but the car in high rmps .. the tach will go all crazy ...and the car will stall .
i got code 15 .. and now its gone .
so basically my tach goes crazy and the stalls ... i there is also and idle surge 1000 to 1500 when i press the a/c button

well i just baught a new compressor ...i havent put it in yet and the old beltis gone .. the broken compressor is still there .
and if there is a vacuum leak .. how can i fine it ?

car is now idleing at about 500 ... drops to about 300 and the bogs out ...no sputteringjust shuts off .. like i turned the key

You can find a vacuum leak by spraying a little carb cleaner around your intake manifold, if the car revvs up, that means that the carb cleaner got into teh engine, which lets you know there is a leak somewhere.
Be a little careful with the carb cleaner, use common sence.
