Whats Wrong With My Brakes.....
alright, so i had new brake pads put on like 3 weeks ago. They are the expensive pads, lifetime warantee, no sqeak pads. Ive only driven my car about 12 times sense they were installed. About a week ago my brakes started sqeaking. And yesterday as i was pulling down my street the brake pedal began to be real hard to push down. Its like the brake pedal is locked, i slam the brakes and it bearly slows down. It wouldnt even be able to be driven with the way they are, i slam the pedal going 15 mph and takes 20 yards to come to a stop. There is fluid, pads are new and i have cross drill slotted rotors. They worked fine the weekend after they were installed. I drove my car yesterday, made some redline pulls and 5 mins later my brakes began to not work........

as for the pads squeaking it might be a bad pad or did you resurface rotors when you went to put them on. also the hard pedal sounds like maybe the brake booster went out. check that out if you can or bring to someone who does

Sounds like a siezed caliper, open the bleeder and see if it pushes in easy.
check sliding pins for being seized to but I highly dought it.
Also collapsed brake hose will do that too.
EDIT: you can test your booster. okay start your car, shut it off. Then pump the brakes 2-3 times if with each pump it gets harder to pump then your vacume check valve is good and prolly your booster too. Then keep your foot on the brake pedal and start up your car. If your pedal goes down a little when you start up your car then your booster is good too.

yeah the rule of thumb is every time you do brake pads you should turn rotors or change them out if past the service limit. as for the brake booster you will have to call a parts store and find out or call the dealer. you can get a junkyard one but those are used and also it would suck to do labor and it is bad then no warranty on it.

Squeeking could be because you didn't break them in. The pedal on the other hand i'm a lil stumped. If it was loose there probably some air in the lines but since it's stiff it should be breaking, maybe your piston on your caliper is seized?
