Default whats needed to put in a D16Z6???

Hi guys, I'm after abit of help.

Me n my mate r goin 2put a D16Z6 in2 my civic. its a non-vtec 1.5 as standard.

Thing is, were not exactly sure of wot we need 2do this swap.

We no we need the engine, gearbox & ecu. I also no that we need sum wiring looms, but which 1s? We have access 2the whole car, so gettin everythin isn't a problem.

I'm guessin that we'll need the engine 2ecu harness. Is there any other bits we'd need?

cheers.

i would grab everything like the ecu, tranny, motor, shift linkage, axles, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, wiring harness, distributor, alternator, etc. I think there's something you need to do to the wirings (someone else correct me) to make it VTEC-capable considering yours didn't come with VTEC, unless it's a 1992 civic hatchback CX which was wired for vtec.

btw, what car are you swapping this into..?

What car do you have? A 92-95DX? I believe all you have to do other than put the engine, ECU and tranny in is run a wire for vtec from the ECU. You need to state what car you have other than 1.5L

YEah if its just a DX you only going to need to run a wire for Vtec.....very easy.

You dont NEED the tranny, but your stocker will hurt performance. But if you have access to a parts car, i would grab it and the engine harness too.
