d15b non vtec to a d16z6 swap
Im going to buy a d16z6 block and swap it for my d15b non vtec.
the person who is selling me the motor is giving me the shift linkage distributor hydro tranny but no ecu and no wireing harness
he briefly explained to me that i do not need nor the ecu or the wireing harness, that i could use my oem harness that i already have
is this true?

my hatchback was originally dx so... it was swap with a d16z6 FULL SWAP.......
this was wat done to it to make it run perfect...
engine wiring harness that has the vtec hookup....
anything to do with the tranny such as the linkage and such.... u dont need to replace u can use your old linkage.... same axles...(unless LSD) i use a P28 ECU and

yea you can use the original ECU but you will have no VTEC. You dont need a harness, you can just run the wires for VTEC, its not too hard, or go to a local junk yard and get the connectors off of a car that has them. If you want VTEC you will need a P08 or a P28.
