Default What's going on?

I have a 94 civic cx hatchback with a jdm b16 swapped into it. Aside from the i/h/e I have a skunk 2 throttle body and intake manifold. I also have a b and m fuel pressure regulator that is set to 40 lbs. My spark plugs are black, but I don't think it could be running rich with all the extra air going to it. I have msd wires and ngk plugs. The motor feels sluggish and the best I could do at the track is a 15.1 That is with a stripped interior. Do I need more spark of more fuel? What's going on? The timing is set right.

back the fuel pressure down to stock, if the plugs are black it is obviously running rich. is that 40 psi with the line off or on? if it is with the line on, you are about 45-47 at w.o.t. set it to stock with the line off and see what happens.

The motor calls for 38 at idle and 47 at WOT, but with the added air I bumped it up to 40. That 2 psi shouldn't make that big of a difference.

I'd leave the psi alone, I run mine around 40 psi. Also check you a/f ratio and timing, maybe your running to fat and the timing is a few degrees retarded. Also, what computer are you running? and is your setup converted to obd1? I have the same setup but a usdm b16a2 and Im running 13.8's....

Intake, trottlebody & manifold don't just majically "add air". All a large boar throttle body does is open the throttle bigger at part throttle conditions. If you don't have the proper combonation of cams/porting/intake-manifold to take advantage of your new full TB area, then you can actually hurt your WOT performance...

This is why the Type R has it's own special cams/manifold/throttle-body/porting...

I'm running an OBD1 PR3, and the timing is set at TDC 0 degrees. Would a bad tps effect my pickup? It kinda stutters at first.
