with a t3/t4 turbo kit

Well with aftermarket rods/pistons and a good tuner, you could easily do 300+whp, I'm at 237whp on a bone stock D15B with ARP head studs

I'm shooting for 350-400whp when I do my vitara build in February

i was running a y7 with the vitara pistons and eagle rods. i had mine tuned to 15lbs with a 57 trim. it felt good for what i had into it. the sohc motors seem to hold boost pretty good. a couple of people i know have the same set-up running 20+ lbs on stock sleeves driven daily.

a lot of people use vitara pistons, and eagle rods with great success. plus vitara pistons are inexpensive
