Default What years of EK Hatches had black dashes?

I've been searching for an EK Hatch. These are the things I'm looking for right now since it will be a daily driver for a year (next year we'll do a swap).

1) A/C
2) Power Steering
3) Power Windows (maybe impossible?)
4) Black dashboard

Are there certain years I should be looking for? Can anyone tell me if only DX's had power windows?

Thanks.

I dont think that any had black dashes...I believe only light and dark gray. As for power windows...I think you are out of luck there as well. Sorry

Well if you actually bought an EK it would have a black dash but here in the U.S. we dont have EK's

I have a black dash, and power steering in my dx coupe. I removed the dash and re-covered it in black vinyl. I switched out the front subframe and steering rack from an integra because it was available to me and I wanted power steering. As for the power windows, it is possible. The shop I work for carries aftermarket power window kits that are identical to stock power regulators but use an aftermarket switch. The only drawback to using these kits is that your door panels still have a block off plate where the window crank used to be.

Got a 99 ek hatch. Got power steering and AC but no power windows. AC was definitely an add-on option, PW was not. Got dark gray dash.

yup dark grey is the best your gunna get, unless you stain the dash which is easy, doesnt chipped like paint and is very durable since it is a stain.

You can find them with both a/c and power steering

Definately, unless you plan on swapping a motor with more power the power steering isn't necessary. You get used to it in a week of driving or less.

I don't know how much you really want the others but they can always be added on relatively easily.

my ghetto technique of making the dash look darker is armor all in a rag. just wipe down the dash with it.

makes it look 10x better lol

How much are these power window kits you speak of? Do they come complete for both doors with instructions?

Thanks,

ooh.. and a few more questions.. did the dark gray dash come standard on specific exterior colors or years?

I'm not sure I want to dye the whole interior (especially the pulling the dash ..), but I'd eventually like to run a CTR steering wheel or an S2K steering wheel. On that topic, are the airbags for those wheels only compatible with certain year range of EK (or is it EJ?).

The dark gray dash came on white, silver, red, and black hatches, I believe.

You can get a LHD black dash from the EK9's overseas.
Oh, and power steering and AC were options on DX model hatches. No power windows, though.

If you want that dash, try my buddy Geoff at JDMTheory. http://www.jdmtheory.com

or (650) 270-7077 He might still have access to those dashes. It's better to do that instead of painting your dash!!!!
