i just got my azenis put on today, but i still spin like crazy in first. i haven't messed with the tire pressure or anything so do
you think that discount tire put to much air in them? they aren't hookin up for ****. could it be that they are brand new with
like 8 miles on them and i need to break them in a little or what. what psi should i set the front tires at?
thanks,

why dont you do what the rest of us do and read the wall of the tire... then u take a tool called a tire pressure gauge...and you push it on ur valve stem...and that number should match the number on the wall of the tire... lazy ***
- here is a tip its the number with *psi* behind it

for racing. what i've heard most so far is that i have to put some miles on them for them to really start getting sticky.

the azenis arent a drag tire, they have a VERY stiff sidewall (for autox and road course racing) so id say about 23 psi and start playing with it from there, if you bog, go higher, if you still have bad wheelspin go lower.
do NOT run that pressure on the street tho.

Re: what tire pressure for falken azenis? (Boost Pressure)
Drag: 20psi
AutoX: Different psi on every tire depending on track, just playing around; 20-30 psi. Fronts should have less. Duh, front wheel drive.
BTW, not all gauges are accurate. Get a good one, don't cheap out.
Those are the tire I want, how do you like em' so far.

for dragging ,, I always had them at 25psi. Got 2.2s everytime
for drag at the track ~25-20 psi is good, depends on conditions and temperatures

The quote above should not be overlooked. A GOOD tire gauge is worth it's weight in gold IMHO. Maybe it's because of my SCUBA diving experience; I dunno, but, I've learned the value of owning good gauges, and tend to take it for granted. I can't believe the POS that some ppl use...
Accugage makes the best tire gauges, and they don't cost that much; about 20 bones each. You'll want the dial indicator style. They have a brass-geared movement and a swiveling/angled chuck. Forget the push-button bleed valves, hose extensions, digital read-outs, and all that horsesh!t, but MAKE SURE you get the protective rubber boot, even if you have to buy it seperately. This is what they look like:
When you buy a tire gauge, or ANY guage for that matter, remember that it will be MOST accurate in the middle of its range. For instance, a 0-100 psi guage will be most accurate at 50 psi. The further you get away from the middle of the range, the more inaccurate reading you will get.
Personally, I get by with two different air pressure gauges. I own a 0-15 psi gauge for motorcycle/ATV racing, and a 0-60 psi for cars/trucks. If you're into bicycles, you'll probably want a 0-100 psi gauge too.
What pressure do I run in my CiViC? 35 psi in all 4 corners. I check them every week in the summer, and every 2 weeks in the winter.

Something NOBODY has said is that you do NOT go by the number on the side of the tire. That's the maximum cold inflation pressure for the maximum weight rating. Tire pressure varies for car, temperature, and tire. If they're OEM sized tires, go by whatever it says in your glovebox. If they're not OEM sized, do the shoe polish test.

yea they put that number on the sidewall just for ***** and giggles, dont go by it...
go ahead..under inflate your tires on your everyday ride... when your tires blows out and kills someone else on the road becuz you believe that since you have nice new underinflated tires you can take bends at 95mph, i hope you're happy...
yes i am an *******

Re: what tire pressure for falken azenis? (Mike P.)
...The number on the sidewall is a maximum cold pressure. There's no need to run pressures that high on the street (or on a racetrack, for that matter) unless you have the car really loaded up.
Let's take ATV racing as an example. When I'm desert racing, I run 5-7 psi in my rear tires, but when I motocross, I bump it to 40 psi. I know this is an extreme example, but that's the way it is. Racing on rocks 'n' sand is a lot different than double-jumping 'table tops', you know?
Now, let's say this is an ATV web board instead of Honda Tech. Someone asks, "What is the best pressure to run in my tires?" How would you answer it???
Depends on the situation...
