What size tires on my CX?
So here's the deal, I'm setting up my CX for the race track (not 1/4 mile racing), and I want to put 17's on it, but how hard would it be to fit 215/40/17's on it? What kind of rim would I need? Is 225 even possible?
I.e. what kind of offset and width rim am I going to want?

i wouldnt use 17's for the track.
use some lightweight 15 or 16". for the 15" cant go wrong with the good old 205/50-15 and the 16" 215/45-16 works good too.
more info on the car please..
engine, suspension.. wat type of racing

Re: What size tires on my CX? (frostcivic)
If I use a lightweight 17 over a heavy 16, then I don't see any problem. Enkei makes a very light forged 17, it only weighs 16lbs, and it has a +45 offset. Please just answer the question and don't flame me.
I don't think that people will laugh at a 300hp 2000lb Civic as it flys past them on the race track. I kind of doubt that they will even be able to see what kind of rims, they might catch a glimpse of them as my huge big brake kit slows me down into the corner that couldn't be fit into a 15 .
Type of racing will be on a road course, and possibly some autocross. There will be 1/4 mile, but that isn't my goal at all.

I want to get the exhaust right now though even though I still have the stock motor, just because my stock one is rusting and about to fall off . What exhuasts do you guys recommend?</TD></TR></TABLE>

you will lose power truss t mme it's called centttrifjgal fofcr . frig froce force
wider teh diameter the more power it takes to spin rubber and air is lighter than saloloy alooly alloy

i am going to try to interpret this..............wish me luck.........
you will lose power, trust me, its called centrifugal factor, frig froce force (unable to identify)
wider the diameter the more power it takes to rotate, rubber and air is lighter than alloy?
i think he is trying to prove the common sense theory here. bigger wheels take more power to get going, thus increasing topend with the extra rotating mass which is already spinning. vice versa, smaller wheels will let you get up to speed quicker will losing some top end. ill stick to 16's
