that b16 swap is stolen unless it has like 150k+ miles on it. LS is great if paired to the right tranny, like a b16, or a gsr (more mpg friendly)

Well honestly, if you don't know if the motor is legit or the history of it, common sense would be not to get it. There are other deals elsewhere & if you don't trust him, go with your gut instinct.
The LS isn't a bad swap with potential down the line with a vtec head swap or FI. Is that the price for the entire swap?

Re: (HatchSpeeD)
Thats the price for the full ls swap. but my plan wit the b16 was to put an ls bottem end a lil later the boost. but if i get the ls i think imma boost then do the lsvtec later

Check & see if the VIN tags are still on it. Do a carfax on it & check the history. Check the engine code. B16A2 means it's most likely from that car but to make sure, look at the date stamped on the head.

Re: (Hazymix)
What are your goals? if you want a fun out of the box high revving motor, go for the b16. If you have a bigger budget and want to go boost or LS/Vtec, or supercharged or something like that, why not get the LS because it has more potential for FI.
Or, if you see both motors, one looks beat and the other looks clean, get the clean one.
