What price should I bargain for?
There's a Del Sol I'm looking at that I'm ready to start negotiations for. I paid too much for my last one, so I thought I'd get an opinion on what I should bargain for on this one.
Here's the specs on it:
95 Sol SI
108k miles on original SOHC motor
Enkei rims with low profile tires
AEM CA intake
Air suspension
Appears to be painted recently, and looks like a decent job. I don't know what value the air-suspension would add to it, as I see that more as a liability in the event it malfunctions and I have to get it serviced...but then, I've never had an "air ride" before...
Any thoughts on what I should offer?

Yeah most people pride themselves on selling cars with more mods. But I see it as a bad thing. I'd rather buy an EG with 150,000 miles owned by a 43 year old guy, than an EG with 78,000 miles with rims, intake, exc. owned by a 19 year old punk. Unless its hardcore performance stuff, tell him if he thinks the wheels and **** are so great to take em off. Chances are he beat the hell outta that car, but maybe I'm wrong.

I would never buy a car that's had work done to it. Doesn't matter how many things it has, you know they guy put the stuff in it to race it. I like to buy my cars in a "virgin" state, I like to race them for the first time.

The only performance part it has is a CAI. Could it really have been ragged that bad?
I see the logic in the argument, but then, I've seen people drive stock Hondas hard too.

just because a car has mods, it doesnt mean that the owner runs the **** out of it, anyhow the most ill pay for a sol is 3grand. i had a sol before b16a3 got it for 3300 from some old lady that drives it from work and back, 106000 mile when i had it, totaled it 5 months later.

sadly its worth bluebook on it, no more, no less. Take into account your local factors which can add or subtract from the total.
For example mine is worth more along the lines of 5-6k its a 95 Si with low milage ect. Im adding more to it because to find one in MINT shape here is next to impossable. Im more likely to find god (Never going to happen) then anther car like mine with absolutely no rust anywhere and a excellant paint job.

air suspension is good if you like to hop up and down alot, and act a fool in parking lots. while having poorer handling.
spring and strut combination is good if you like a car that doesnt ride like ****.

That's all I needed to hear. I would have figured that out after a test drive, but now I don't need to waste my time. Thanks!
