what kind of exhaust is this. its for my 1999 honda civic ex coupe. he wants to sell it to me for $100. he sais he paid 500 for it at lous customs

he didnt pay 500 for that muffler and i wouldnt give you 10 bucks for that let alone 100
not cause I dont like it (which I don't) but because thats a no name brand muffler and I don't buy used exhaust parts because they are prone to rust etc, who knows how long it would last

Looks like an ebay knock-off. Look into Magnaflow. They have some nice products that don't cost too much, sound smooth (not ricey), and last a long time. I have two Magnaflow mufflers- love them both. One is a stock-like replacement I had installed and looks stock and sounds great, and a nice polished stainless 3" pipe on my other car, and it sounds super clean too. Don't bother buying cheap knock-off mufflers-the insulating material falls apart, makes the muffler sound like hell, and they leak terribly because of the cheap metal and sorry sweat-shop welding. Hope this helps!!!

He's full of it, that is as everyone above has said a cheap piece of crap. I paid $90 for my magnaflow muffer and $65 at the local shop getting it and some new pieces of pipe put in. Sounds great and looks great.

$500 for just a muffler? no way. maybe on something exotic or possibly a CAT.....but just a muffler not a chance. offer him $10.....or like darkenedsol said, try magnaflow. good quality, reasonable prices. i had the muffler shop in town order a magnaflow rear muffler and a hiflow cat he bent all the pipes and put in a glasspack middle muffler on my jetta. all total was under 500 and it sounds amazing, the meanest legal 4-cyl ive ever heard. BUT my moms exhaust rusted off her 93 Si so i had them do the same thing to hers and it wasnt bad outside....but in the car it sounded like a million bees buzzing around ur head, unbearable for a street car. now shes got a stockish rear muffler and i think 2" all the way........quiet when you want it to be, but noticable when you want it to be.
