what parts should I buy to get more hp out of my d-series?
I have a D16Y8 sohc vtec motor. I'm not sure what components I should swap in the motor to get more hp out of the engine. and no I don't want to buy a B-series I don't really have the money for that. I know its possible to get at least 200 bhp out of these sohc slugs, I just need to know what parts I should replace. thanks.

If you are shooting for 200+ hp your best bet is a turbo. It is possible to do it NA but it will cost you alot more money. There is a ton of information on any option you can think of here on honda-tech, so look around, read up, and educate yourself before you make any decisions, you'll be glad you did.

Your best bet to reach 200whp will be to turbo the engine. There are tons of threads on this. You can either get yourself a kit (Greddy, etc...) or do the homemade route. Just make sure you get a good tune and you will be good to go. If you try to make that much hp all-motor, you will spend a small fortune! Good luck.
