What next?
(00 EX 2DR)
I have never taken my car to the track, but I would like to sometime soon. I already have the basic bolt-ons. (i/h/e, cam, camgear, fpr, suspention) Is there anything else I can do with out effecting the emissions too much, or making my car ugly (i dont want to take the seats out) I will never swap either. The motor already has 50,000 miles on it. Should I just stop now because of the high milage? Or will the motor stay strong down the road? I have taken good care of this car and would like to keep it until 150,000. Basically I want power, and reliability. (I dont think you can always have one with the other but I would like to try). Aside from the motor, I was thinking about some brake upgrades, but i dont know if the AEM big rotor brakes will make that much of a difference, I dont even have ABS. Thanks in advance.

JRSC.. a good match for more power without alot of mods to the motor...guarantee d to 100k too ...the blower is made to work effectively with OEM parts..but u can always upgrade if u want..

Well I never thought of a supercharger that much before, everyone is always going turbo. That might be a little more realistic, however I would like to stay all-motor, How much of a gain did you get with one? (if you have one). Thanks in advance!

Sorry but 50k miles is NOT a lot of mileage. I think building a SOHC motor costs too much to make it fast, so your best route would be a swap(but you said you dont want to) so I'm thinking turbo. Turbo would be reliable if you keep up to maintanance, not as hard as you probably think.

greddy kit will allow you have a LOT of fun, you wont' be the fastest out there, but its your ride and you'll have fun wit it, and it has "50 state legal papers" so you should be straight wit the emission, good luck

Re: What next? (kwik2nec)
Well I have never had a honda before, and I dont know how long they will last as long as I drive it as hard as I do. I get into VTEC like... 15-20 times a everytime I take it out for a drive; and stay in the 3500-4000 rpm range while just driving so I can punch it when I want. I have really abused this motor. I heard a Y8 is pretty cheap if you blow it up... So I am not that afraid of loosing it. I try to be as nice as I can to it too though, the fluids, oils and belts are ALWAYS changed on time, if not before the recommended times. I don't drop my clutch, or burn out. The a/f ratios are great too, and I only run premium gas, and syntec. oil. So Im hoping this thing will last me til' 100k.
Aside from that: blab blab blab... I dont know if running a greddy kit will be as fun as I think. I heard it takes quite a while for the boost to spool, and it is only a bolt on 30hp. So for 2500.00 bones, I dont know if it's worth it. For 2500.00 I could almost buy a B16A and have reliability too. I dont want to swap though. I'd rather stick my d**K in a gopher hole.
