Well out of the other models you have th Si, which is the heaviest. But the reason the DX is heavier than the CX is because the DX since it is a "higher end model" has more sound deadening material, often times in the hatch and I think in front of the rear seats. Also, the DX can come with power windows and locks (I think) adding weight. But don't worry you make up for it with your monsterous 100 something horsepower mota.

Actually there is no EX model in the hatchback body.

There isn't a whole lot of weight difference between the vx,cx,and dx but there is a big difference when you throw the Si in the mix.

Mostly its the options that add weight to a vehicle and the wheels make a weight diff....sorry thats not a great answer to your question but Im more or less down with the Si model, and I know why thats heavier.

I have a dx but someone put a d15b8 motor in it. Its so slow and I need something else quick. Right now I am deciding witch engine to go with, its probably going to be a b16 since i am doing it myself and have never done anything like it before.

in that case youd be better off with a gsr swap as it is totally plug and play

One thing about the dx also is that it had an adjustable sterring column where as the cx and vx do not. It also has the side moldings and sound deading material. Also a different engine than the cx and vx so theres your weight difference right there.

he didn't say NO 92 hatch EVER came with A/C. he said A/C was not STANDARD on any hatchback in 92, meaning it was an option that you could pay have installed.
