Picked up this rear sway bar from some guy, told me it came off a GSR and would fit on 96-00 civic's. New to the JDM scene so i could had been easily tricked... i only paid $20 bucks, but still im hoping this will fit my 00 civic ex! Anyone know what kind of sway bar this exactly is and will it fit a 00 civic ex?
tips and advice greatly appreciated thanks!

not sure but i think it would have more of a bend like the # 7 at the ends

not sure what car it fits, but that looks like a progress rear sway bar. i don't know if they use the same bar for ek and dc though.

you're also missing the endlinks and the adapter bracket that bolts onto the rear shock.

no it dose not fit your civic i tried it before on my mines and no luck just sell it for 30

It does look like that progress bar.. is it compatible with a civic 00 ex? also here some more detail pictures.

One sure fire way to tell, climb under the car and see if it bolts up.

BUMP! installing it atm.. not quite sure where the ends are supposed to connect to..somewhere near the coilover?

If it is the sway bar, they think it is. Yes, it will bolt to the lower bolt on the shock.

What size is the bar. If its too large you may need a subframe brace. Actually its probably best that you use one because the EX/DX/LX models didn't have the threaded holes for the sway bar to bolt too like the 99-00 Si model. Also you'll need 99-00 Si rear endlinks as well as the ones that you have above won't work.

Considering the mounting brackets it has it's almost surely a progress bar. That's the only company I know of that has those type of mounts in order to avoid using a subframe brace. Progress was pumping out those brackets way before the subframe brace was even invented.

It becomes obviously simple to install if you have the brackets. If you don't have them you aint installing this.

for a cheap bolt on, i would just get a 99-00 SI rear sway bar

if you want something nice, i'd get a JDM CTR EK9 22mm rear sway bar with a subframe brace to reinforce it
