Default what kind of primer to use

i was looking up primer on autozone.com when i got a list of different ones. just wondering what kind to use.

Dupli-Color Filler Primer
Dupli-Color Primer Sealer
Dupli-Color Sandable Primer

heres a few of them that were on there.

What are you painting?

If you're doing 3-stage paint, use a sandable primer. If you're doing a valve cover or a strut bar or whatever .... use filler.

an oem spoiler. it was painted white and i just want to sand or strip the paint and paint it black with the primr

You're painting it primer black and leaving it that way?

just until i finish buying jdm bumpers and repaint the whole car =] purple again kekek

OH, you've got a hatch?

Use duplicolor trim paint so it looks like a factory CX spoiler.

sweet thanks.. a cx wing is what i used to have hehe.. switched to dx cause the cx looks too small =T

But yeah, use filler primer and Duplicolor black trim paint. Looks fantastical

the wing right now is primered white should i sand it back down again or can i just primer over it?
