Q: What are some good brake pads that do not create a lot of dust?

A: Without knowing what you're doing with the car, any street pad should be fine. Most are designed to work at colder temps on the street and make low amounts of dust.

If for the street, oem pads are very good!

If for the track, there are so many pads, take your pick. Hawk are good, they usually need to be heated up a bit to get the better effects

ceramic are always a good option
leaves very low dust when compared to metallic and they stop you faster

had them on my civic and it was a pretty good improvement with hardly any dust

I purchased Napa ceramic brake pads with brand new rotors. They are extremely dirty, and I am very unhappy about it. They didnt start creating a ton of dust until ~500mi maybe. I dont know if they mixed up my part or if their ceramic pads jokes, either way, I wont be shopping there anymore.

actually semi-metallic pads have better stopping power than ceramic pads.

ceramic pads are just a popular street option because they're low on dust and noise, where semi-metallics are not. ceramic pads are also easier on the rotor, where semi's are gonna dig through them faster. it's all a matter of what you value more. stopping power or comfort.
