Icon2 What intake manifold for a single cam?

So I'm doing some research on which Intake manifold gives you the best gains for single cams. I know the skunk2 is based off the itr but like what are the gains you get if I were to do intake header and exhaust at the same time?

You'd probably hurt performance more than help since an aftermarket IM isn't a standard bolt-on. The standard IHE doesn't really add much for power and then you'd have to get a matching TB and a tune on top of it. Not worth it. For the money you should just swap or boost.

^^that. and i don't think or know if they make an IM for a D series...because it's so not worth it.

Do you plan on tuning the car after?
What are you other plans for the car?

not worth a manifold but worth this..?

OP: you can buy aftermarket, but the Y8 is probably the best bang-for-the-buck manifold for the D-series. found mine used for $70 shipped. midrange torque is noticeable compared to the Y7. all that to say, you didn't mention which motor you have...

Skunk2 makes a manifold for the D series engine.

http://www.skunk2.com/engine-2.php?code=INPROD

OP: I wouldn't bother with the basic bolt-on parts like others have stated. The money you would spend could be better used for boost. Learn from others mistakes, don't waste your money with IHE. You can boost the D series and made good power.

best gain? probably y8 on a stock motor. aftermarket might suit a purpose built device.

probably a whole 3-4 hp tops gained.. and yours neighbor's peace and quiet and any good relations you had with them will be totally sacrificed.

on a d series your probbaly going to loose HP and TQ. longer runners are better for upper rpm HP but they say you will loose it down low. i have a edelbrock performer X on my Z6 but it feels slower with all the bolt on's without turbo. with turbo it probably helps.
